Indulge your kids (and yourself) without guilt.
Summertime means time for baseball games, pool parties, backyard cookouts…and frozen desserts. And for a lot of parents, that last item creates a bit of a dilemma. When your kids ask for an ice cream sandwich on a blazing hot day, you hate to be the meanie who says no. But at the same time, you know that eating ice cream every day, all summer long, isn’t exactly good for them.
Healthy Frozen Banana Treats are the perfect solution. They’re a cold, creamy treat that’s amazingly satisfying on a hot day – but they’re also a healthy snack that you can feel good about giving to your kids.
These frozen delights couldn’t be easier to make. All you have to do is peel whole bananas, slice them in half, spread them with peanut butter, and sprinkle on fruit – raisins, blueberries, strawberry halves, sliced kiwi, or whatever floats your banana boat. Then just lay those nicely topped banana halves out on a baking sheet, and pop them in the freezer.
In about an hour, you’ll have ice-cold, creamy, sweet snacks that your kids will be happy to cool off with. In fact, they’re so healthy, you might just indulge in one or two yourself.
